Banks must meet criteria to repay TARP funds, official says:

A senior official from the Obama administration said healthy banks will be given the green light to repay funds they received through the Troubled Asset Relief Program if doing so is in the interest of the economy. "Our general objective is going to be what is good for the system," the official said. "We want the system to have enough capital." Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and other financial institutions are keen to repay the rescue funds.
