Capital spending in U.S. turning upward, survey finds

Businesses in the U.S. are slowly increasing their capital investments, and job losses are leveling off, according to the latest poll by the National Association for Business Economics. Despite being generally pessimistic about growth, 21% of the companies responding said they would increase capital spending during the next 12 months.
