MSC Cruises changes ship's itinerary to avoid Somalian coast

MSC Cruises plans to add 400 miles to Melody's previous itinerary to avoid pirates near the coast of Somalia. MSC said the move was made to "ensure total security and peace of mind for guests and crew." The cruise will remain 22 days, 21 nights, but the ship will not call at Safaga, Egypt, to make up for the additional time at sea.
