New York pension corruption inquiry expands to New Mexico

A company that helped investment firms raise money from the New York state's pension fund, which is under investigation for allegedly participating in kickbacks, also helped investment firms get business in New Mexico, sources said. The firm, Searle, was associated with Henry Morris, at one time the top fundraiser for the New York state comptroller. Morris was charged last month, accused of taking millions of dollars in kickbacks from money-management firms.
