Usual Q2 increase hasn't come, say chemical producers

Makers of unsaturated polyester resins say the boost in demand that typically can be expected in the second quarter as companies gear up for summer construction has failed to emerge this year, meaning prices for maleic anhydride have remained flat. Because maleic anhydride is a component of UPR, the seasonal UPR increase tends to benefit maleic anhydride as well.
