Asian markets inch up as sentiment starts to improve

Most Asian markets advanced Tuesday, regaining some of the losses from the previous session. Japan's Nikkei 225 inched down 0.1%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 added 0.2% and South Korea's Kospi Composite climbed 0.8%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 1%, China's Shanghai Composite closed flat and New Zealand's NZX 50 advanced 0.3%. Taiwan's Taiex added 0.6%, while Singapore's Straits Times Index went up 0.7% in late trading.
