Delta narrows Q1 loss, forecasts profit in Q2

Delta Air Lines reported a narrower loss in the first quarter and predicted a profit in the current quarter despite the current turmoil in European operations. The world's largest carrier said it lost $256 million in the first three months of the year, compared to a loss of $794 million for the same period last year. The company cited positive revenue trends and benefits from its merger with Northwest Airlines as some of the reasons for its improved numbers.
