Sheila Bair, chairwoman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., says the U.S. needs to improve its lending standards in order to avoid another financial crisis. Bair says lenders should require borrowers to provide stronger evidence that they will be able to repay a loan. "I do worry that we really don't have these protections in place. I worry the party will get started again if we don't have these changes in place," Bair said.
