Senate bill seeks to cut climate analysis from reviews of federal projects

Republican lawmakers led by Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., unveiled a bill that would bar federal agencies from considering greenhouse-gas emissions when assessing the environmental impact of proposed federal projects. The bill comes after the Obama administration in February issued draft guidance that would require agencies to consider emissions and climate change when conducting reviews under the National Environmental Policy Act.
