Architecture billings held steady in March

The Architecture Billings Index declined 0.1 point in March, according to the American Institute of Architects. The index, which measures nonresidential construction activity, reached 50.5. "Demand is not falling back into the negative territory, but also not exhibiting the same pace of increases seen at the end of 2010," said Kermit Baker, AIA's chief economist.
