New detergent bottle uses less plastic, is recyclable

Seventh Generation recently introduced a 50-ounce bottle for laundry detergent that uses far less plastic than traditional bottles in larger sizes and can be recycled or composted, according to packaging director Peter Swaine. The bottle, made by Ecologic, is made from 70% old corrugated containers and 30% old newsprint.
