Radioactive water pumping starts at Japan's damaged nuclear plant

Crews have started transferring highly contaminated water out of one of the reactors of the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan, in a crucial step toward easing the nuclear crisis. Tepco, the operator of the plant, said it plans to pump 10,000 tons of water into a storage building within 20 days. Tepco estimates that there are about 67,500 tons of radioactive water to be either processed or stored.
