State environmental regulators express support for TSCA reform

Maryland Acting Secretary of the Environment Robert Summers is joining state environmental chiefs from California, Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon and Washington in calling for reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976. The regulators say that the TSCA is ineffective and inadequate, and that states must enact their own measures to properly regulate chemicals.
