There are few companies that would have the resources to spend $823,000 on a lavish conference as the General Services Administration did in 2010. However, companies should still keep in mind three key questions to ask when spending any amount of money on an event, writes executive coach Scott Eblin. They are: "Would I spend my own money this way?", "Am I trying to hide it?" and "What's my point of reference?"
