Column: Tenn. airport expansion will not increase noise

An expansion plan at the Murfreesboro Airport in Tennessee will not raise sound levels, writes Larry Williams, an Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association volunteer at the airport. "The extension of the runway will not allow larger or noisier aircraft to land at Murfreesboro, as the runway is weight restricted to 35,000 pounds single wheel and 55,000 dual wheel," Williams writes.
