Could medication be used to treat cerebral palsy?

A new study shows the course of cerebral palsy may be altered by the use of an anti-inflammatory medication. Researchers said the findings, reported in the journal Science Translational Medicine, could be promising for individuals with the disability. "This suggests that there is a window of opportunity to prevent cerebral palsy," said the study's author, Roberto Romero, chief of the Perinatology Research Branch of the National Institutes of Health.
