Oklahoma City invests $653M in water, wastewater system upgrades

A $653 million plan to improve Oklahoma City's water and wastewater systems over the next five years has been approved by the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust. About $488 million will go toward water-delivery and water-treatment projects, with the rest going for projects that will collect and treat wastewater. Water storage capacity will also be addressed. The projects will be funded by rate increases.
