Report: OSHA is slow to enforce workplace safety rules

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration takes an average of almost eight years to implement workplace safety rules, according to a report made by the Government Accountability Office. OSHA cites judicial review as well as lawsuits from business groups for the delays. The GAO report recommends that OSHA collaborate with industry experts and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to advance workplace safety.
