Calif. task force recommends technology improvements for schools

A state task force in California is urging schools to provide every student, teacher and administrator with access to at least one Internet-connected device, according to a report released Friday. The task force also recommends teacher-certification programs, curriculum and professional development as well as ensuring all schools have the technology needed for computer-based tests. "As California continues to move toward college and career readiness for every child, education technology has to be part of what we do," Tom Torlakson, state schools chief, said.
