High school students get taste of construction careers

Rhode Island high school students will get a chance to operate construction equipment and watch demonstrations of how an interstate highway is laid out. The program, now used in 22 states, shows teens that "construction and transportation are extremely practical careers that people can enter and then work their way up to business ownership," the event coordinator said.
