Analysis: Why Target's not a target

Wal-Mart receives more criticism for its business practices and impact on local businesses than Target does, even though Target stores generally have similar policies, industry watchers say. Some observers attribute the discrepancy to perceptions about Wal-Mart's size and influence, as well as Target's "colorful and spunky ads" and public relations savvy.
