Kansas sets rules for May evolution hearings

At a contentious meeting Tuesday, a Kansas Board of Education subcommittee set the ground rules for next month's hearings about state science standards. From May 5 through May 7, supporters of Intelligent Design will testify, while between May 12 through May 14, proponents of evolution will set forth their views. An attorney for the pro-science faction of the subcommittee criticized the state spending tax dollars to bring in anti-evolution witnesses.
