Scientists' group says cloning should be allowed for stem cell research

The Human Genome Organization's ethics panel called on the countries of the world to allow human cloning for stem cell research, but not to reproduce human beings. The international group of scientists said a blanket ban on cloning could seriously hinder development of new medical treatments.
