Combined Herceptin, chemotherapy can eliminate breast tumors

Roche Holding announced Friday that a combination of its breast cancer drug Herceptin and a traditional chemotherapy treatment completely eliminated breast cancer tumors in 45.5% of the 453 women involved in the study. A cancer specialist said the findings underscore how the drug "offers real hope" to early-stage patients with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
