More patience advised for Japanese REITs

The subprime fallout that has squeezed the rest of the world is also being felt by Japanese REITs. More than half of Japan's 42 listed REITs are already trading below their net asset value, but analysts believe their size may make it difficult for them to attract investors and the procedures by which J-REITs operate will hinder consolidation possibilities.
