While some vendors believe over-the-top video offerings will put pressure on the IPTV market, telecoms do not expect OTT content to replace traditional TV. "TV consumption may be reduced by a certain percentage, maybe 10%," said Terry Denson, Verizon Communications' vice president of programming and marketing for FiOS TV. "But are people still going to subscribe to multichannel services despite the ubiquity of content in other areas? We think so."
