UN peacekeepers start preparing exit from Liberia

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was expected on Monday to visit Liberia, the West African country that has the most blue helmets of any UN peacekeeping mission. A peace mission consisting of 15,000 troops entered Liberia after its 14-year civil war ended in 2003, and now the UN is planning a careful draw-down.
