Spanish firm will build $1B solar plant in Arizona

Spain-based Albiasa Corp. has decided to build a $1 billion solar plant in Kingman, Ariz. Construction of the 200-megawatt facility is expected to create 2,000 temporary construction jobs. The Arizona plant will be the first U.S. location for the firm that started developing technology for concentrated solar power about five years ago. The solar plant will be the second-largest in Arizona. Last year, Abengoa Solar said it would build a 250-megawatt solar plant in the state.
