Calif. governor endorses bill that would make teacher dismissals easier

Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is backing a bill that would allow administrators to fire or reassign teachers according to merit instead of seniority. The bill would also streamline the firing process. The state legislature takes up the proposal today.
