Florida district maintains ban on cell phone calls, texting

The school board in Florida's Broward County voted to maintain a ban on student calls and texting between classes and during lunch, but students are still able to go online or listen to music using cell phones. Because it is difficult to tell what students are using the phones for, officials suggested lifting the ban. School board members said more discussion was needed on the issue with teachers, students and administrators.
