Ford puts phone apps in reach of voice commands

Drivers of the 2011 Ford Fiesta will use voice commands and easy-to-reach buttons to access their smartphone features thanks to new technology the auto company has dubbed Sync AppLink. Initially, Ford will limit the system to BlackBerry and Android users, but it plans to extend the technology to iPhones and other vehicles next year, the company said.
