Study: Diabetic teens have added stress of managing own care

U.S. researchers found that the hemoglobin A1c levels in teenagers with Type 1 diabetes tended to increase after they take over from their parents the responsibility of managing their condition. "This transition from managing diabetes with the parents to independent management is a huge issue," an expert said.
