U. of Chicago and Field Museum form Emerging Pathogens Program

The University of Chicago and the Field Museum have partnered to launch the Emerging Pathogens Program, which is aimed at conducting studies and finding ways to fight pathogenic diseases. Scientists in the program have developed a database of high-risk pathogens and their DNA after studying more than 1,100 mammal and bird samples.
