White House reviews EPA's proposed rule for industrial polluters

The Office of Management and Budget is reviewing the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed rule that outlines how and when industrial sources of greenhouse gases will be regulated under the Clean Air Act, according to the OMB website. The EPA had indicated this year that the first phase of regulations would likely apply, starting in 2011, to facilities that annually emit more than 75,000 to 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
