Geographer: BP oil spill among worst environmental disasters

The environmental effect of the BP oil spill has been less devastating than predicted thus far, although it remains one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history, according to experts. "I don't think we'll know the full environmental impact for a long time," said Craig Colten, a geographer at Louisiana State University.
