U. of Michigan gets $56M donation from shopping mall mogul

The University of Michigan has received a $56 million donation from A. Alfred Taubman, a shopping mall magnate, to fund stem cell research, as well as studies into diabetes and heart disease, among other conditions, university officials said. The latest contribution brings Taubman's total donations to the university to $142 million.
