EBay rallies users to fight bill for online sales tax

As the Senate moves closer to considering the Marketplace Fairness Act, eBay is urging its U.S. sellers to lobby for changes to the bill, saying the threshold of $1 million in annual sales is set too low and will lump scores of small merchants in with big players such as Amazon. NRF supports the measure, which is scheduled to come up for a Senate vote this evening, saying states are currently losing about $24 billion in sales tax each year.
