Fort Lauderdale starts $1.5 billion, 5-year makeover

Crews are currently building a $791 million runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which is just part of the airport's five-year, $1.5 billion renovation. Another part of the makeover includes $450 million to expand and redesign Terminal 4 and $200 million to upgrade terminals 1, 2 and 3.
