HHS signs $8M deal to promote ACA's insurance exchanges

HHS signed a contract initially valued at about $8 million with the public relations firm Weber Shandwick to promote the health insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act. An HHS official said the public relations agency will raise the profile of the exchanges through "a range of communications tactics, with an emphasis on paid media and digital outreach." The firm's work will be one element of a wider campaign by the HHS, the official added.
