Search pushes online ad revenues up 21%

Pushed by a boost in search ads, online ad revenues jumped 21% to $7.3 billion in 2003, according to a study by the IAB and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Keyword search ads grew a strong 20%, while rich media ads rose 3% and classified ads edged up 2%. Some ad formats saw declines, including display ads and sponsorships.
