California bill places liability for commingling on seed producers

A California assemblyman has introduced legislation that would allow farmers to collect damages from producers of biotech seeds if their crops are cross-pollinated by biotech crops. An organization of organic farmers, which is backing the bill, said it was not trying to prevent farmers from growing biotech crops.
