Google posts record profit on advertising explosion

Google announced quarterly profits of $369.2 million against revenues of $1.26 billion -- a 500% profit increase from the first quarter of last year. In addition, company co-founder Larry Page announced the introduction of new graphical advertising units on network sites and even perhaps within the Google URL.
