Libor recalculation considered as scrutiny continues

The London Interbank Offered Rate fell slightly as the Bank of England officially announced its plans for a new swap facility, a good sign for global policymakers. But debate over the credibility of the Libor continues, and the British Bankers' Association is considering changing the way it is calculated. The BBA, though, says a radical overhaul of the rate may not be prudent.
