Breast-feeding offers women protection from heart disease

A new study found women in their 60s were nearly 10% less likely to develop cardiovascular disease if they had breast-fed their babies for more than 12 months overall. The women also were significantly less likely to have heart disease risk factors, including high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol.
