Internet sales tax may be put on the table

Lawmakers next week are expected to take up the idea of an Internet sales tax that does away with physical boundaries and requires all but small businesses to collect for all 23 states participating in the Streamlined Sales Tax Project. Political experts disagree on the likelihood of whether the measure can actually pass, as Internet sales giants Amazon and eBay lobby to protect the interests of the small businesses that use their services.
