Pennsylvania's stimulus funds may pay for additional projects

Contractors are submitting low bids for Pennsylvania highway and bridge projects funded by the stimulus package. As a result, the state's $1 billion in stimulus money may be able to pay for additional projects in the state. The state DOT said bids for 57 open projects have come in 13.9% below cost estimates. At this point, more than 241 projects are in line to receive stimulus funds.
