Proposal for Florida commuter train continues to face challenges

A proposal to cut $400 million in transportation funding from the Florida budget could stall plans for a 61-mile commuter railroad. The Florida Senate Transportation and Economic Development Appropriations Committee recently approved the line, which is dubbed SunRail. Officials say a $400 million cut would leave no funds available for the project.
