Canadian architects work on Port-au-Prince rehab project

Canadian architects, engineers and urban planners are working with Port-au-Prince officials to get a rehabilitation project -- planned before the earthquake hit Haiti -- back on track. Plans call for the reconstruction of the Simbie hotel, a luxury hotel in the 1980s. They also want to rehabilitate the badly shaken neighborhood around it, turning the area into an autonomous co-operative that would grow food and include some industry.
