A defensive attitude is no way to defend an idea

It's important not to react defensively when an idea is criticized, writes John Baldoni. He recommends preparing for the inevitable challenges by readying a comeback statement, responding to criticism graciously and patiently, and maintaining outward signs of self-control, such as a relaxed tone of voice and facial expression.
