FCC alters voice roaming rules, eyes mobile data as well

The FCC moved ahead with its National Broadband Plan on several fronts Wednesday as the agency voted to reverse a 2007 rule in requiring telecoms to offer reasonable roaming agreements to rivals that sell wireless-broadband services. The agency also proposed extending that mandate to data services.
